Michigan Commercial Real estate

Commercial real estate is being bought up by large conglomerates of investors. They in turn rent or lease the properties long term to businesses and tenants. In medium sized cities such as Saginaw, Midland and Flint, large, vacant retail and business space sits open for months, if not years, and is not in demand. Growing areas such as the suburbs of Detroit and Grand Rapids, and in Gaylord, are in high demand. Construction of businesses continues through the suburbs of Detroit, Kalamazoo, Lansing and Grand Rapids. Northern Michigan growth is much slower, but continuing.
