New York Land Estates

With the exception of New York City, New York State is very much a farming state. Of the total 3.2 million acres, almost 8 million is used as farmland. Over 132,000 acres of farmland was developed during 2005 and 2006. The land was turned into subdivisions, retail space, schools, shopping centers and offices.
