What is Human DNA

Involves the manipulation of deoxyribonucleic acid DNA. The DNA contains chromosomes, which are considered to be the genetic code that explains inherent traits in living organisms.

An important event in genetics history was in 1953 when the structure of DNA was first described by J.D Watson and F.H.C Crick. They described it as a double helix consisting of strands of polynucleotides coiled together. Through genetics it is hoped that many genetic illnesses may be cured.
