Aerospace(Aeronautical) Research Engineer Job

This job requires the use of research and/or product development, the position also requires: 

  • the electromagnetic analysis of aircraft radomes. 
  • knowledge of propagation of electromagnetic energy through multi-layer dielectrics
  • Experience in design and fabrication of antenna elements and arrays. 
  • Knowledge in aircraft radome structures and the techniques used to fabricate them
  • Candidate will use programming languages which includes Fortran, C++ in evaluating results.

    The position will be directed by senior engineering personnel performing research and development engineering aimed at developing new high performance radomes.

    Basic experience usually required

    • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related engineering discipline (Aerospace is related), or equivalent experience/combined education.
    • Graduate/Entry level position

    Aerospace Design Engineer

    This job requires the design of electro-mechanical components and assemblies for aerospace sensing products. The candidate will be responsible for design, testing, transition to production for new air data products. The position also requires: 

    • Previous experience in using Modeling and drafting software
    • Knowledge/experience with structural and thermal analysis

    Basic experience usually required

    • Aerospace engineering degree
    • 0-3 years experience

    Aerospace Component Engineers

    This job requires component Engineers to specify, select, and provide design guidance on sensors and electronic components for jet engines. Candidates will be given the role to work with vendors to assure test components are delivered on time. This position also requires experience with:

    • speed sensors
    • pressure sensors 
    • temperature sensors
    • flow meters.

    Basic Experience usually required: 

    Candidates need to have at least a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. FAA certification/qualification is also desired but not required


    Aerospace systems design engineer

    The job requires a the candidate to be familiar with commercial aircraft systems. The candidate will be familiar with Boeing aircraft systems. Knowledge of both electronic and hydro-mechanical control systems is desired. The successful candidate will work with a design team in preparing system requirements for design engineers.


    Experience usually required: 

    Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering plus five years experience with aircraft systems.


    Aerospace Systems Engineer (Flight Control, vehicle systems)

    This position requires the candidate to provide leadership in systems engineering and software requirements in development for Avionics Systems. This position also requires

    • Experience in performing studies on these architectures that tradeoff weight, power, reliability, throughput, redundancy, and cost that result in definitive network, hardware and software requirements.
    • Experience in developing specifications for avionics components to be used on military and space aircraft that provide substantial reuse of Honeywell products. 
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools. 
    • Experience with DOORs and Object Oriented Design (UML) Methodologies

    Basic experience usually required:  

    Bachelor or Masters in /Aerospace Engineering discipline. 

    Background in the Vehicle Management, Flight Control and/or Vehicle Health/Prognostics product areas.

    Candidates need minimum 6-10 Years experience. Candidates MUST have current flight control experience for consideration. 


     

    Aerospace Engineer--Fluid Dynamics/Heat Transfer experience (Team Leader/Manager)


    This job requires the aerodynamic design of jet engine components, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analyses, heat transfer analyses, test data analyses, and providing support to production/field investigations as needed. Areas of focus may include fans, compressors, diffuser and turbine exhaust cases, combustors, turbines, augmentors, exhaust nozzles, aero-acoustics, or emissions. The position involve activities that contribute to state-of-the-art design solutions that balance the requirements of performance, cost and weight. The position also requires 

    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
    • Knowledge of CFD techniques.

    Experience usually required: 

    Bachelor or Masters in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering

    Managers must have eight or more years experience required with two or more years leading and supervising a technical team.

    Team Leaders must have five or more years experience in field with two or more years leading a technical team.


    Aerospace Engineer (Gas Turbine experience) (Team Leader and Manager Position)

    This job requires the candidate to lead and provide technical guidance to engineers in performing pre-test predictions, test program definition, covering performance testing, data validation, first pass analysis and reporting to chief engineers from off site location in accordance with standard work. The position also the requires: 

    •   Understanding of Gas Turbine Simulation and Data Reduction Methodologies
    •   Understanding of instrumentation requirements for validating gas turbine performance
    •   Knowledge in Steady State and Transient Performance Analysis
      .

    Experience usually required:

    Bachelor or Masters in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering

    Managers must have seven to fifteen years experience in field with two or more years leading and supervising a technical team.
