Roses

Roses top the favorite list of many florists, gardeners and flower enthusiasts. Roses come in an assortment of colors like red, yellow, white, deep pink and light pink. Roses are delicate and need much care in growing them for your landscape garden.

Like most other plants, roses need exposure to sunlight. On average roses, need minimum exposure of four to six hours of sunlight. Complimenting the sunlight, roses also need to well watered, most horticulturists recommend watering them every three days.

Though, most modern roses are equipped for greater disease resistance, adaptation to multiple soil types and pruning, it is still very necessary that one takes greater care is protecting them from insects and perform regular pruning.

  • Syringa Meyeri, 4’ to 8’ high and half again in spread ‘Palabin’ is the cultivar of choice. Violet-purple flowers cover the plant in May. They are not too high on fragrance but are very beautiful.

  • S. patula or Manchurian Lilac

  • S. patula or Manchurian Lilac reaches a satisfactory height of up to 9’ to 10’ at maturity. They are the most preferred variety for an all-round year bloom.

  • S. reticulata or Japanese Tree Lilac

  • S. reticulata or Japanese Tree Lilac reaches a terrific height of 20’ to 30’ with a 20’ spread.

  • Sylvan Beauty

  • This is more like that of a lavender-rose with a terrific fragrance and beautiful color texture.

    Bulbs are the most colorful and easy to grow option for any gardener. Moreover there are enough varieties of bulbs that will bloom from summer to spring. With a combination of bulbs one can ensure the garden remains colorful with bulbs blooming all round the year.
